Life is Flow:

Finding Balance Through Yoga in Challenging Times

Thank you, Cindy Feinberg, for introducing us to Shannon Dante of Flow Yoga & Wellness. Over the past several months, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Shannon both personally and professionally, and I'm thrilled to take you deeper into her story so you can discover why she's such a gem in our community.Shannon embodies kindness and genuine care, and what she’s built at Flow Yoga & Wellness is a purpose-driven, values-based business in the fullest sense. As you’re about to see, supporting her work creates a ripple effect—touching lives and strengthening the community in meaningful ways that extend far beyond the mat.

ML: I’m familiar with a style of yoga called flow. Was that the inspiration behind your studio's name?

SD: While Flow is a style of yoga—and one we offer at Flow Yoga & Wellness—that’s not where the name originally came from. It was inspired by my own experience of being led to create the studio, and the sense of ease that carried me through it. Doors opened, the right people showed up, the resources appeared—it all unfolded in a way that felt deeply aligned. To me, when something “flows” it is meant to be. Flow represents that feeling of trusting life and allowing things to come together as they’re meant to.

ML: What is your vision for Flow Yoga & Wellness?

SD: My vision for Flow Yoga & Wellness is to be a space where people can return to themselves. In a world that often feels fast and disconnected, I want Flow to offer a sense of grounding, presence, and belonging. When someone reconnects with their body, their breath, and their inner peace, that shift naturally ripples outward into their relationships and community. The vision is to create a beautiful and serene space where that kind of transformation can happen, gently and authentically.

ML: What is the mission of Flow Yoga, and what core values guide your work?

SD: Our mission at Flow Yoga & Wellness is to guide people toward health and inner peace through movement, breath, community and holistic wellness. We do this by creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and welcoming—where people can explore their inner world, reconnect with themselves, and heal at their own pace.We aim to be a hub for shared knowledge, offering classes, workshops, and experiences that expand how people understand and care for their well-being. Our core values are rooted in compassion, connection, accessibility, and genuine care, and everything we offer is designed to foster meaningful relationships—both within ourselves and with one another.

ML: What does that look like in practice—how do those values actually show up day to day?

SD: These values show up in both the way we design our offerings and how we care for people when they walk through the door. We intentionally tailor our schedule to be accessible to a wide range of individuals—offering everything from gentle classes like Yin and our senior yoga program, to prenatal,Vinyasa Flow, breath work, sound baths, and holistic workshops—so everyone can find something that meets them where they are. Just as importantly, we focus on creating a space where people feel truly seen and welcomed. Sometimes that’s as simple as offering a cup of tea or taking a moment to listen. I genuinely love connecting with people, and the studio feels more like inviting someone into my home than going to work—that energy naturally shapes the experience we create.

ML: Flow feels very different to me from a typical yoga studio. What do you think creates that?"

SD: I feel that the combination of a thoughtful environment and diverse, heart-centered offerings makeFlow feel so unique and deeply supportive. Flow was created with the intention of being a sanctuary, and a big part of that is the environment itself. The beauty of the space, the calming scents, the presence of plants, and a deep commitment to cleanliness all contribute to the energy—people often feel it the moment they walk through the door.

We’re also more than a yoga studio—we’re a full-service wellness center offering a wide range of experiences, including yoga, osteo-focused movement, sound baths, facials, massage, infrared sauna, red light therapy, private wellness parties, mat Pilates, and energy work. Each offering is intentionally chosen to create meaningful opportunities for healing, connection, and growth within our community.I truly love what I do, and it never feels like work—just something I feel honored to show up for each day.
